DUTERTE will call for a closed-door meeting with Leila De Lima, Mar Roxas, and former President Noynoy Aquino next week or the next to gather some vital information regarding proliferation of drugs in Bilibid during De Lima's stint as Justice Secretary during Aquino's administration, the proper accounting of Yolanda funds donated by foreign countries during Roxas' stint as DILG Secretary and the clear and actual blow-by-blow account of the unfortunate Mamasapano incident last year during Pnoy's stint as Philippine President. Current President Rody Duterte is still wondering about real deal of these issues along with the rest of the Filipino people. He is pissed and wants to talk to these figures before him in a closed-door meeting sometime this week or next.
In an article dated a few days ago, Delima was quoted that congestion and lack of facilities were the reason why drugs became so rampant in Bilibid. For Mar Roxas part, during the electoral campaign, he was seen and heard saying that he knows where to buy drugs in Davao and Makati, ignorant and oblivious of his possible criminal liabilities being a DILG secretary at the time. He also needs to answer, along with Pnoy, regarding the accounting of Yolanda funds. Until now, hundreds of thousand of the Yolanda victims have yet to feel the benefits of the huge monetary donations that should have been used for rehabilitation, financial assistance in their livelihood and housing. Pnoy has already been filed a case by the relatives of the victims of the Mamasapano massacre due to Pnoy's alleged ineptitude as a commander-in-chief that costed the lives of the 44 soldiers. His indifference during the wake of the dead soldiers also earned ire from the Filipino people.
Until now, millions of Filipinos are craving for justice regarding certain lapses done by the past administration, and President Rodrigo Duterte wants to give them that. He does not believe in blaming the past administration of their past mistakes, but he believes that these issues are on a different level. He further said that the closed-door meeting will not put these personalities in a bad light unless they start pointing their fingers and do the blame-game over again.
What do you think about these statements? Is the President being fair to them by calling a closed-door meeting? Should it be publicised on national television instead?

ReplyDeleteDefinitely a good move of #PresidentDuterte. Asked them face to face. Record their answers so it can be compared to the actual findings later. The truth will come out and they will have to face the consequence of their actions.

ReplyDeleteindeed it well happen... this is the time of reckoning, I have a feeling of excitement to be with to our Beloved President and a HERO as well to do his duty as a highest elected official in our country doing a well of the people elected him as totoong TATAy na sambayanan PILIPINO I have a watery eyes when I see this kind action to our President...
ReplyDeleteTrash!
ReplyDeleteI think this the best way to treat these issues... There is so much to explain in the rightful disbursements of the Yolanda Fund especially those donated by foreign countries.. Butch Abad, DBM secretary, Dinky Soliman, DSWD Secretary ,Roxas, DILG secretary and the President Aquino for command responsibility they are responsible in the disbursements of these funds and they should be held accountable to the Filipino people..
ReplyDeleteMamasapano, still Roxas and Aquino should be held accountable too.. and Delima, Roxas,Aquino for the proliferation of drugs in the Bilibid prison.
President Duterte can call for them, not to punish them but to know the loopholes of the previous Administration and draw better programs to solve these issues...
We cannot survive if we hold on to a policy of vengeance. But proper discussion as leaders whose direction is for the good of the country is really essential, so that the new President can draw a more relevant program that would address the need of our beloved country.. But as they said: Drastic issues call for drastic solutions..and that REVOLUTION or FAST CHANGE is essential in a dying system proliferated with drugs, crime, prostitution, poverty, and corruption..
We will only pray that the new President will be accordingly guided and will have the stamina of a Lee Kuan Yu or the passion of a Fidel Castro or the strength of a Khadaffi , the charisma of Mao and the wily wisdom of HO Chih Minh.. and that after his term true change will indeed come to our country..
He has his own incomparable mind so strong and trustworthy. We trust him more than any other person.

ReplyDeleteAs I said before, our president is an "alley cat" who earned his merits by knowing the sound, smell and body language of people around him and the environment. Few people have that ability. He speaks and tells you the way life is in the streets and in the upper echelon of our society and in the area of governance. Pinoy, Roxas and de Lima are no match to our president. The three pretenders will squirm and spray cold sweat behind closed doors the moment our president connect "eyeballs-to-eyeballs" with these pretenders. The cold penetrating looks of our president is enough to wake up goose pimples on anybody who faces our president "mano-a-mano". The trio can run and run but they cannot hide. It is about time we unmask these greasly pretenders.
ReplyDeleteThis is much much bett
